Access to Healthcare Access to Healthcare is a donation programme we launched in connection with our 50 year anniversary in 2007, and is set to run for 10 years. The programme is dedicated to giving people in developing countries access to better intimate healthcare and to help them live life with dignity. The programme focuses on: - Capacity for better intimate healthcare:- we will build capacity for better intimate healthcare within bowel, urinary or wound diseases and the consequences thereof. We believe this can be done e.g. by supporting clinics and learning centers, and training programmes for nurses and caregivers.
- Awareness and understanding:- we will create awareness and understanding of the challenges faced by affected individuals and their relatives and focus on improving capability for self care.
- Advocacy:- we will create advocacy for a better deal for those needing intimate healthcare. By being on the agenda of local healthcare plans, we believe that access to daily care and treatment will be improved over time.
