We both studied International Business at Copenhagen Business School.
Why did you apply for the Coloplast Master Thesis Programme?
We applied for the Master Thesis Programme because we wanted to test our academic skills on a real life business case. Before we were accepted into the programme, we both knew very little about Coloplast, but we never regretted it for a second.
What did you write about in your thesis?
In our thesis we set out to address the South African wound care market in terms of financial potential, macro dynamics and sales drivers. On that basis we used academic frameworks to create a feasible growth strategy for Coloplast.
How was the process?
When we got accepted into the programme, we decided upon a project in collaboration with Coloplast that matched our interestes and strenghts.
We were thrilled to work and live in South Africa to come up with a real business plan together with the local organization. In the end our recommendations were used as a part of a larger strategic plan for the market, which is currently of high priority for Coloplast.
It's really valuable that you get to see how you add value to the organization from the very first day.
We have quite different work areas today. I (Henrik) am Global Program Manager in the Marketing department, and I (Christoffer) work in Wound Care focusing on Emerging Markets.
We enjoy the young and informal environment, the high ambitions and the fact that you are able to make valuable contributions.
