Collaboration and partnerships
No one can solve the climate crisis alone. But by working together, we can find new ways to help each other reach our shared goals. That’s why we collaborate – both within our company and with our external partners – to forge a sustainable future.

Working together across Coloplast
At every level and in every area of our business, we’re united in our mission: to make life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs. In the same way, making our company and products more environmentally sustainable requires skills and efforts from across our company.
For example, our R&D engineers research more sustainable materials for our products. Our Procurement team works with the suppliers of these materials to reduce their emissions. And our Supply Chain coordinators make sure we can get our products to people in time, with as little use of air freight as possible.
Our partnerships, memberships and commitments
United Nations Global Compact
We’ve been a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact since 2002. The ten sustainability principles of the UN Global Compact are a core part of the way we do business and reflect our commitment to being a responsible and ethical company.
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
Our emission reduction targets have been approved by the SBTi. This means they’re in line with what the latest climate science deems necessary to meet the Paris Agreement goals and limit warming to 1.5°C.
The Business Ambition for 1.5°C
This campaign is led by the Science Based Targets initiative, in partnership with the UN Global Compact and the We Mean Business coalition. As a signatory to the campaign, we’ve set carbon reduction targets in line with a 1.5°C future.
Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI)
This group of pharmaceutical and healthcare companies shares a vision of better social, health, safety and environmental outcomes for communities impacted by activities across our supply chain. We’ve been a member of the PCSI since 2022.
The Manufacturing Academy of Denmark (MADE)
MADE aims to support Danish manufacturing and develop and deliver sustainable manufacturing solutions. Our research within MADE has focused on strengthening the circular infrastructure for producing medical devices.
Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TDFD)
As a supporter of the TDFD, we report on climate-related financial risks and opportunities, as well as our governance for responding to them. The purpose of disclosing this information is to better inform our investors and stakeholders.
Circular Industrial Plastic (CIP) partnership
This partnership aims to map plastic materials used by partner companies and create better infrastructure and technologies for mechanical and chemical recycling. Today, our focus at CIP is testing and potentially upscaling new recycling technologies that could help us achieve our Strive25 ambitions.
